President of the Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay Carlos María López López visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on January 12, 2023.

TaiwanICDF Secretary General Amb. Timothy T.Y. Hsiang warmly welcomed President of the Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay Carlos María López López. and the other honorable guests after which they exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in Paraguay.

The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include Strengthen Capacity for Commercial Production and Operation of Orchids in Paraguay, Health Information Management Efficiency Enhancement Project in Paraguay (Phase 2), MSEs Re-lending Project (Paraguay), Project to Strengthen Capacity to Support Development of MSMEs and Surubi Fingerling Breeding and Cultivation Project (Paraguay). Under a Taiwan Youth Overseas Service scheme, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist in the implementation of projects.

To date, a total of 451 participants from Paraguay have received training in TaiwanICDF Professional Workshops and a total of 38 students have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan.
