Prime Minister Hon. Kausea Natano and Madame Selepa Kausea Natano led a twelve-member delegation that visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on September 7, 2022.

TaiwanICDF Secretary General Amb. Timothy T.Y. Hsiang warmly welcomed Hon. Kausea Natano and the other honorable guests after which they exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in Tuvalu.

The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the Fruit and Vegetables Production and Nutrition Enhancement project. Under a Taiwan Youth Overseas Service scheme, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist in the implementation of projects.

To date, a total of 141 participants from Tuvalu have received training in TaiwanICDF Professional Workshops and a total of 15 students have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan.
