Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines visits the TaiwanICDF

The Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. the Hon. Ralph E. Gonsalves visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on August 9, 2022.

The TaiwanICDF Secretary General, Ambassador Timothy T.Y. Hsiang warmly welcomed Prime Minister Gonsalves and the other honorable guests before they exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the Public Health Emergency Response System Enhancement Project, the Overseas Professional Mandarin Teaching Project and the Banana Revitalization Project in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Under the Taiwan Youth Overseas Service program, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist with the implementation of projects.

To date, a total of 180 participants from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines have received training from the TaiwanICDF’s professional workshops, 191 participants from the Vocational Training Program, and a total of 87 students have received our International Higher Education Scholarship and studied in Taiwan. A total of 18 students from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are currently pursuing higher education in Taiwan.
