Project Name: Improve Productivity of Rice and Common Bean by implement Innovative Technologies Research in Nicaragua
Project Description: To continuously improve agricultural knowledge and skill, the Nicaraguan government proposed to Integrate into a multi-faceted and high-efficiency system, Including setting up automatic meteorological stations, sensors and micro-climate monitoring networks, also establishing an internet platform with the functions of technical guide, on-line education and training. To improve strengthen of the agricultural technology and research capabilities in four Technological Development Centers (CDT) in Nicaragua as well.
Implementation Start Date: 2021/3/1
Implementation End Date: 2025/12/31
Project Objectives: To develop the technological tools for Nicaraguan grain (common bean and rice) industry, to reduce the impact of extreme weather, and to increase the efficiency of agricultural production by 20 % through increasing prices and/or reducing costs.

Current Progress: To the end of March 2021, the following activities have been completed:
