Minister-in-Assistance to the President and Environment Minister of the Marshall Islands Visits the TaiwanICDF

Minister-in-Assistance to the President and Environment Minister of the Marshall Islands, Hon. David Paul, visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on April 23, 2019.

TaiwanICDF Deputy Secretary General Dr. Pai-Po Lee warmly welcomed Hon. Paul and the other guests. They exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in Marshall Islands.

The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the Horticulture Project, the Livestock Project and the Home Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Project. Under the scheme of the Taiwan Youth Overseas Service program, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist with the implementation of projects.

To date, a total of 88 participants from the Marshall Islands have received training from the TaiwanICDF’s Professional Workshops, and a total of 16 students from the country have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan.
