Governor-General of St. Kitts and Nevis Visits the TaiwanICDF

H.E. Sir S. W. Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO, QC, JP, Governor-General of St. Kitts and Nevis and his sister Mrs. Marguerite Foreman visited the International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) on October 12, 2018.

TaiwanICDF Secretary General Amb. Timothy T.Y. Hsiang warmly welcomed H.E. Sir Seaton and Mrs. Foreman. They exchanged views on the TaiwanICDF’s cooperation projects in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The TaiwanICDF’s ongoing projects in the country include the St. Kitts and Nevis Land Administration Information System Project, St. Kitts and Nevis Enhancing Agricultural Adaptive Capacity to Climate Variability Project and the Capacity Building Project for the Prevention and Control of Chronic Kidney Disease in St. Kitts and Nevis. Under the scheme of the Taiwan Youth Overseas Service program, the TaiwanICDF also dispatches servicemen to assist with the implementation of projects.

To date, a total of 126 participants from St. Kitts and Nevis have received training from the TaiwanICDF’s professional workshops, and a total of 42 students from the country have received International Higher Education Scholarships and studied in Taiwan.
