The International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) will celebrate 20 years of foreign aid endeavors with a book launch and exhibition opening under the theme of “Thinking Big to Embrace the World,” on July 4, 2016 at the Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs.

July this year marks the 20th anniversary of the TaiwanICDF’s establishment. To commemorate this occasion, the organization invited staffs and partners with first-hand experience to come together in publishing the book, “Thinking Big to Embrace the World - the Touching Stories of Taiwan,” The book not only depicts the multiple facets of Taiwan’s foreign assistance work, but also reflects a moving chapter of Taiwan’s participation in overseas development assistance.

In addition to the book’s publication, the TaiwanICDF will also hold the opening of the Exhibition of the Stories of Taiwan’s Foreign Aid Endeavors, which highlights the TaiwanICDF’s accomplishments in international assistance work. The exhibition, which will be on display until July 15, covers the course of Taiwan’s experience in foreign aid and includes TaiwanICDF Memorabilia, Achievements, 20th Anniversary Commemorative Publication, Videos, Interactive Multimedia, and Publications. Organized around the themes of Cooperation, Care, Hope and Progress, visitors are guided through Taiwan’s contributions to foreign assistance, and invited to join in Taiwan’s efforts to build sustainable partnerships with the international community.

In the coming weeks, the TaiwanICDF will organize exhibitions featuring its work in international cooperation in Taichung, Kaohsiung and Hualien, with the exhibitions incorporating the distinct characteristics of each respective city.
