TaiwanICDF Recruits Further Professional Mandarin Teachers for Service in Partner Countries

With Chinese-language learning having become a significant worldwide trend in recent years, the TaiwanICDF has continued to promote the Overseas Professional Mandarin Teaching Project in 2016, recruiting further teachers to provide Mandarin teaching services to our partner countries this year.

Launched in 2014, the project aims to promote Taiwanese culture and society among its partner countries and to develop the influence of traditional Chinese characters overseas, thereby strengthening cultural exchanges with allies and friendly countries. As at the end of January 2016, 16 professional Mandarin teachers have been deployed, serving in 12 countries including Nicaragua, El Salvador, Paraguay, Guatemala, Panama, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Haïti, Dominican Republic, the Solomon Islands, Palau, Jordan and Turkey.

The project has since gained wider attention, with TaiwanICDF Mandarin teachers having earned recognition for their teaching and the demand for Chinese-language learning increasing in other partner countries as well. Therefore, this year the TaiwanICDF plans to dispatch further Mandarin teachers to serve in São Tomé and Príncipe, Paraguay, South Africa and Saudi Arabia, to continue to promote Chinese-language education. Native candidates with professional Mandarin teaching knowledge who are fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic are welcome to join the TaiwanICDF Overseas Professional Mandarin Teaching Project.
