Project Name: Government Island Wide Network Project (St.Lucia)
Project Description: According to St. Lucia’s Population and Housing Census 2010 indicated that less than half of the population, only 43% has access to the internet, with the highest percentage concentrated in the north of the Island namely Castries and Gros-islet, resulting in "Urban and rural digital divide" and "Home network penetration" . In order to improve the problems, the project use Taiwan’s advantages in ICT and successful experiences to help St. Lucia develop WLAN(Wireless local Area Network) in public areas (government organizations, schools, remote areas) of cities and towns, providing residents, tourists, and businessmen with free or low-cost Internet.
